Student A
Promoted from NA to Express Maths
In January 2023, I took on Student A for Secondary 2 NA Mathematics. Knowing that she did not pass her Secondary 1 NA Mathematics, we held 2 sessions at the beginning of the year to help her recap and strengthen her foundation in Algebra. Together with student's own diligence, Student A managed to top the class and achieve 100% for the most recent test in inequality and algebra. Confidence was built and consistency remains. Student A was eventualy promoted to Express Math in Sec 3.
Student B
From Failing to Passing Math within 5 months
Student B joined me around July 2023 after failing his Sec 3 Mid Term examination. Similarly, Algebra was one of his weaker topics. Nevertheless, I was able to spot the common error/concept that student B is consistently making and we started correcting and practicing in these areas.
As a result, Student B managed to secure a B for his Term 3 Test and eventually passed his EOY examinations all within a period of less than 6 months.
Student C
Student C has been a student of mine since 2021, where she started off as a student in NT Math. In 2022, Student C was eventually promoted to NA Math.
Knowing that there is a huge gap in syllabus, I worked with student over the holidays to help her catch up with her peers. In 2022 and 2023, student C has consistently been outperforming and topping the class in many of her tests.
